Bill and Sue Cotton are the soapmakers behind Southwestern Soapworks. Bill and Sue moved to the Angel Fire/Eagle Nest area in 2005 from Scottsdale, Arizona. Having visited the area for many years, they enjoyed the high altitude and decided that they had to move here permanently.
Bill and Sue are both stained glass artists but became interested in making soap after moving here.
When the original owners of Southwestern Soapworks announced their intention to move to Texas, Bill and Sue made the transition from stained glass artistry to soapmaking.
Today they are busy in their studio high in the Sangre de Cristo mountains overlooking Eagle Nest Lake and the Angel Fire Ski area.
BILL CHECKING ORDERS
Today, the Southwestern brand is sold in gift shops at the Phoenix airport and many national park gift shops including the Grand Canyon National Park and many fine stores across the United States.
The Southwestern brand is also popular internationally and being sold in France, Germany, Australia and Canada.
The Texas, Mountain and Northwoods labels are sold in the geographic areas specific to the customer's location. We have 27 states in the U.S. with major shore lines which led to repackaging our product with the Shoreline label.
Bill manages the computers to keep track of all that is going on with the various lines and many states that now carry our handcrafted soaps, organic lotions, natural mineral bath salts and natural soy candles.
